Customizing your own quiz on Boundless is easy and useful. You'll be able to use our thousands of questions, or write your own quiz questions. All of our quizzes are auto-graded and have full grade passback with the leading LMSes.
Step 1. Pick the subject that you're teaching. In this example, I chose Psychology. Navigate to the chapter or section that you want to use as the base of your quiz, and click "View":
Step 2. Click on the green quiz button.
Step 3. Now you're on the page for the Boundless quiz. You can see the "Created by Boundless" in the top left corner. If you want to use this quiz as-is, feel free to click the green "Assign" button. Otherwise, if you want to add, remove, or write your own questions, click the "Customize" button in the middle.
Step 4. Now you're in our Quiz editor! Some features to notice: on the right side of every question, there are three little symbols. The top one allows you to clone the Boundless question and then edit it if you'd like to make a minor change. The middle ones, the up and down arrows, allow you to move the position of a question up or down in the quiz. And the bottom one, the little trash can, allows you to remove a question from a quiz. You'll also notice the "New Question" button in between all of the questions. That is so that you can start a question from scratch if you like.
EDITING QUESTIONS: If you hit the "Edit Question" button (the top button on the right side of a question), you'll be taken to our question editor and be able to make any edits to that question that you like using the question editor. Just scroll to the bottom of that question and hit "Save" when you're done.
ADDING NEW QUESTIONS. When you hit "New Question", you have two options: searching for an existing Boundless question, or creating your own.
SEARCHING FOR A NEW QUESTION: If you hit "Browse or Search," you can enter a key word and grab any of Boundless's thousands of quiz questions:
WRITING YOUR OWN QUESTION: If you hit "Create your Own" under the New Question button, you'll be taken to the question editor, where you can choose from over 50 different question types to author your own questions.
Step 6. Once you're done customizing the quiz to your heart's content, you can hit the green "Save New Version" button at the bottom of the page:
You'll be asked to enter the changes that you made. Later you'll be able to refer back to these by hitting the "History" button on the sidebar.
Step 7. Assigning your quiz. You can hit the green "Assign" button in order to assign your quiz to your students. Just give it a due date, enter the name of your course into the search bar, and click on the course you want to assign the quiz to!
